VITAS and KITECH signed MOU during the 7th Session of Vietnam – Korea Joint Commission on Cooperation in Nuclear Power, Industry & Trade,

On December 7th , 2016, at the invitation of H.E. JooHyungwan– Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy of Korea (MOITE), Minister of Industry and Trade (MOIT)  led a working delegation to attend the 7th Session of Vietnam – Korea Joint Commission on Cooperation in Nuclear Power, Industry, and Trade in Soul, Korea.

Earlier, from 5th-6th of December 2016, sub-committees on cooperation in technology, industry, nuclear power, energy, mineral resources, and trade had review meetings on cooperation activities agreed in the 6th session  discussion on concrete cooperation activities in the coming time. Representative of VITAS, Mr. Truong Van Cam-Vice Chairman, Ms Hoang Ngoc AnhVice General Secretary and Representative ofKorea Institute of Industrial Technology- KITECH, Mr Park Jun Ho Director of KITECH Vietnam Office also joined the sub-committees on cooperation in technology-industry to discuss final content of textile and cooperation between Korea and Vietnam.


 

At the Plenary meeting, Minister Tran Tuan Anhhighly evaluated coordination in guidance by Minister JooHyungwan and efforts made by sub-committees and working groups in implementing the recent reached agreements, bringing positive and efficient results. Minister  JooHyungwan emphasized that Vietnam-Korea FTA has been and will continue to be beneficial partnership to both countries and also request that MOIT be a supporter between Korea and Vietnam so that economic and trade relationship to two countries can foster base on VJFTA.

In framework of the 7th session of Vietnam – Korea Joint Commission, signing ceremonies of Minute of Understanding (MOU) on textile and garment industry between VITAS and KITECH were held with the witness of two Ministers. KITECH’s President Youngsoo Lee and VITAS’s Vice ChairmanMr.Truong Van Cam signed on the MOU on behalf of respective institutes/organizations. The objective of the MOU is to establish a framework of conducting future cooperative activities in developing textile and garment research, enhance production capacity and marketing ability as well as expand export markets.
