Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics – Spring Edition

Following on from last year’s record-breaking spring and autumn fairs, Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics – Spring Edition 2017 will be the largest ever held, with over 2,500 exhibitors from 24 countries and regions confirmed to participate. Held from 15 – 17 March in a brand new venue – the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) – the fair will cover over 100,000 sqm, more than double last year’s edition.

Largest ever Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics – Spring Edition opens this month

Following on from last year’s record-breaking spring and autumn fairs, Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics – Spring Edition 2017 will be the largest ever held, with over 2,500 exhibitors from 24 countries and regions confirmed to participate. Held from 15 – 17 March in a brand new venue – the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) – the fair will cover over 100,000 sqm, more than double last year’s edition.

International fabric exhibitors will be located in the International Zone (hall 7.2), domestic suppliers in halls 7.1, 8.1 and 8.2, and Chinese and overseas accessories exhibitors in the East Hall. What’s more, three other textile fairs take place concurrently with Intertextile Shanghai to offer buyers greater sourcing options: Yarn Expo Spring, PH Value and CHIC.


Verve for Design and All About Sustainability zones add variety to product sourcing

The Verve for Design zone, featuring original pattern design studios, doubles in size this year with studios from Australia, France, Hong Kong, Italy and the UK taking part. And appearing for the first time at the Spring Edition is the All About Sustainability zone which features companies with eco-friendly and sustainable products, technology and services.

The full range of features at the fair ensures there’s something for every buyer from the industry. This includes the Milano Unica Pavilion from Italy, the Portugal Pavilion, the Germany and France zones, and the Premium Wool zone, all within SalonEurope. Pavilions from Japan, Korea, Pakistan and Taiwan also feature, as well as the Texprocil Pavilion from India. And around 2,000 Chinese exhibitors are also participating.


Seminars and Trend Forums offer added value for buyers

This year’s fringe programme includes four international and Chinese Trend Forums that provide guidance for next season’s trends, with the Intertextile Directions Trend Forum (hall 7.2) designed by experts from the around the world, and the Fabrics China Trend Forums focusing on menswear (hall 7.1), ladieswear (hall 8.1) and colours (hall 8.1).

A series of seminars is also held from 15 – 17 March, with speakers from both China and abroad. Topics include Design and Trends, Technology, Sustainability Issues, and Market Information and Business Strategies.
