The Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) has been effected since December 30, 2018 and in 2019 it is expected to be the second year of the tax reduction progress. And follow this CPTPP, there are some potential markets for textiles industry such as: Australia, Canada, Chile, Mexico and New Zealand.
EU is the second largest export market in the world with great potential for Vietnam's textile and apparel products. In 2019, the EVFTA trade agreement is soon coming into effect, which would create a lot more opportunities for enterprises. However, in order to enjoy tariff preferences from this agreement, exporters should thoroughly understand and be able to apply self-certification of origin for their goods.
October 30
th 2018, our Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) issued the Circular No. 38/2018 / TT-BCT, regarding to
"Applying the certificate of origin under the preferential tariff regime, specifically Generalized System of Preferences (GSP)” and the Circular No. 39/TT-BCT, regarding to “Checking and verifying origin of exported goods” .
In a joint effort to make businesses well aware of the regulations of this Circular, Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (VITAS) and VITAS ITCS Co., Ltd jointly organize the workshop:
"INTENSIVE TRAINING COURSE OF CPTPP & REX MECHANISM OF EXPORTING TO EUROPEAN MARKET BY GSP" (Universal tariff preferential regime) 1. Time: January 17
th, 2019

Lecturers in charge: invited experts from the Import-Export Department, the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
5. Training methods and contents: providing core information in combination with practical exercises with case studies, which help reinforce knowledge of rules on origin of goods and self-certification of origin
under the preferential tax regime of the European Union, Norway, Switzerland and Turkey.
Learners are kindly requested to bring along their PCs for hand-on training on declaration / registration on the EU system provided right within the course. 6. Eligible learners under regulations and requirements of the program will be issued with certificates of completion of the training course on self-certification of origin of goods under the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP)
