VITAS Joins Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC)
HANOI– (18th May, 2020) – Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (VITAS) announces that it has joined the Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC) and will use the group’s sustainability performance measurement suite of tools, the Higg Index, to drive Vietnam textile and garment sector in the environmental and social sustainability journey.
Vietnam Textile & Apparel Industry Directory 2020
For a long time, the Directory of Vietnam Textile and Apparel Enterprises has become a reputable channel providing business information, trade connections, and trade promotion in Vietnam's textile and garment industry. The Directory is updated every 3 years, with data of more than 2000 big textile and apparel enterprises in Viet Nam will be classified according to different specialized products (cotton, yarn, sewing, weaving, dyeing, finishing, trading ...)
Covid Joint-Industry Statement April 2020
On April 21, VITAS signed the Joint Statement with more than 60 national associations and organizations around the world representing the global textile, footwear, tourism and fashion industries to appeal to governments, stakeholders and supply chain partners, taking responsible action to deal with Covid-19. This Joint Statement is on a larger scale than the STAR Statement.
Following the reports and recommendations of the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (VITAS) on the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the textile and garment industry, please kindly be submited to Esteemed Ministries, GDVC and SBV VITAS summary of recommendations in phase 1, identifying and evaluating the pandemic progress and impact on the textile and garment industry in phase 2.
