Objectives of the workshop:
- To introduce the self-certification of origin mechanism in Vietnam’s free trade agreements (FTAs) and the participation of Vietnam;
- To introduce the procedures for examination and determination of origin in self-certification mechanism in Vietnam’s FTAs, comparison between Vietnam’s current system and self-certification system;
- To share and exchange views among customs, businesses and stakeholders on how to effectively implement the self-certification scheme, examination and determination of origin, to minimize risk of frauds;
- To share experiences in the implementation on self-certification of origin in the U.S., Rules of Origin and Verification Procedures in Textiles and Apparel.
