At the working session, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Mai briefly introduced the Vietnamese textile and garment industry and the role of VITAS in acting as a bridge between regulatory agencies and the business community, as well as in promoting connections and supporting enterprises to expand cooperation and markets.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Zhang Jun assessed that Vietnam has a rapid growth rate and still has ample market potential. He proposed that the two Associations establish a regular and long-term cooperation mechanism, creating conditions for businesses of both sides to interact, exchange information, and participate in exhibitions and specialized activities.

"We hope that the two Associations will build a long-term cooperation mechanism, facilitating visits, exchanges, participation in exhibitions, and specialized activities; thereby forming a regular mechanism for the two sides to mutually support and coordinate with each other", Mr. Zhang Jun shared.

The two sides agreed to continue maintaining information exchange regarding industry activities and to strengthen connections between Vietnamese and Chinese business delegations. Areas of mutual interest include textile and apparel raw materials and accessories, bamboo products, household goods, and related product groups.

Through the bridging role of the two Associations, the parties expect to expand opportunities for finding partners, promote trade, and strengthen linkages within the Vietnam - China textile and garment supply chain in the coming time.
