Dates for Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics Spring & Autumn Editions confirmed
Following record-breaking editions in 2014, dates of the Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics Spring and Autumn Editions for 2015 have now been confirmed, with both to be held in a brand-new venue – the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics – Spring Edition will take place from 18 – 20 March 2015, while the Autumn Edition will be held from 13 – 15 October. The move to a new venue allows the organisers to accommodate more exhibitors, with exhibition space at the Spring Edition to cover 100,000 sqm – double the size of the 2014 fair. Over 2,000 domestic and international exhibitors are expected to take part in the March fair.
The relocation to a larger venue also allows for more events to be staged concurrently. Yarn Expo Spring and PH Value, previously known as the China International Knitting Trade Fair, will once again be held alongside Intertextile Shanghai, while for the first time the 23rd China International Fashion Fair 2015, also known as CHIC, occurs concurrently as well. And the Planet Textiles 2015 conference will be held on 19 March.
Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics will welcome SalonEurope and Milano Unica Pavilion again
A number of new and returning highlights can be found in the International Zone including SalonEurope, which will once again host a large number of high-end apparel fabrics and accessories suppliers. Within SalonEurope is a country pavilion from Portugal, the Germany and France zones, and the Milano Unica Pavilion from Italy. The Milano Unica Pavilion will feature around 120 producers who will present their latest collections of premium apparel fabrics and accessories for ladieswear and menswear.
Also appearing for the first time at the Spring Edition is the Premium Wool zone. Exhibitors from Italy and the UK will showcase their premium, high-end wool products suitable for suitings and ladieswear. As the middle and upper classes in China continue to expand, wool is one of the sectors of the domestic market with the strongest growth and future prospects.
Five Asian country and region pavilions to feature
This year sees returning pavilions from Japan, Korea, Pakistan and Taiwan, as well as the Texprocil Pavilion from India. After an absence in recent years, the Japan Pavilion returns to the 2015 Spring Edition, and follows a very successful participation at last year’s autumn fair. The pavilion will feature around 20 exhibitors and is organised by Japan Fashion Week Organization.
The Korea Pavilion also returns after appearing at both editions of the fair in 2014. Over 90 exhibitors will feature this year, and will showcase a wide range of man-made and functional fabrics. Organised by the Korea Fashion Textile Association (KFTA), the exhibition space will expand by nearly 50% compared to last year.
